Little Wonderland Childcare at Carole Park next to Goodna is proud to say that we are a Government Approved Kindergarten which embraces the inclusive vision that ‘all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life’. Kindergarten is the year before the preparatory year of schooling which assists in laying the foundation for their future success in learning and life.
Little Wonderland Childcare is also extremely proud to have a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to deliver the Governments Kindergarten Program 5 days a week to be able to provide all children with the most exposure to the program so they can have a positive learning experience to build a strong foundation for prep the year after.
Starting January 2024, the Queensland Government has introduced free kindergarten (kindy) for children in the year before Prep.
This initiative, providing 15 hours of education per week for 40 weeks a year, ensures every child has access to quality early learning. The programs, offered in both sessional kindergartens and long day care services, are designed to give children a strong educational foundation.

The Kindergarten Program that has been adopted here at Little Wonderland Child Care understands the children’s right to experience the joy of childhood and its fundamental role of learning that is promoted through play, and emergent and planned learning experiences and interactions. The program is delivered by our Early Childhood Teacher between centre hours in which they draw together advice in the guidelines alongside their professional knowledge in understanding the children’s interest, intentions and ideas.
The curriculum is based on the Kindergarten Learning Guidelines which are derived from the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) – click here to see our EYLF Curriculum. Our Early Childhood Teacher will be using this program that was developed by the Queensland Studies Authority – click here to view. This program has been designed to be very interesting for the children and also aid them in their learning experiences and create a love of learning and experiences. The program encompasses a wide range of areas that are integrated with play, maths, science and also literature.
The vision of children’s learning and guidelines describes a set of five learning and development areas that relate to the five broad learning outcomes identified in the Early Years Learning Framework:
- Children have a strong sense of identity
- Children are connected with and contribute to their world
- Children have a strong sense of wellbeing;
- Children are confident and involved learners and
- Children are effective communicators.
